Where should someone new to Buddhism start?

Newcomers usually hit a practical problem: the scriptures are vast, the schools are many, and it is hard to know where the first step belongs. The Awakening Path exists to answer that. It arranges study into six ordered levels, so a learner always knows where they are and what comes next.

The first step is Level 1 — Beginner, which corresponds to the 88-lesson Awakening Dharma | Beginner course.

The six levels of the Awakening Path

Level 1

Beginner

Begin with the foundation of Peace: understanding body-mind, karma, meditation, and awakened living.

Level 2

Advanced

Deepen the practice of Harmony, transforming relationships and inner layers of energy.

Level 3

Illumination

Deepen insight, recognize true nature, and walk the path of awakening in modern life.

Level 4

Service

Bring the Dharma into action, community, education, work, and awakening projects.

Level 5

Wholeness

Live fully with wisdom, love, simplicity, and the qualities of a practitioner.

Level 6

Mastery

Become a keeper of the flame, a guide, and a creator of awakened fields for many people.

The Path of Three Transformations runs alongside the six levels

The six levels describe the order of study. The three transformations describe the depth of practice. They move together: at any level, a learner is working on all three layers.

  • Transform body and mind — ethics, concentration, and wisdom in daily life: abiding, seeing clearly, and living from awareness.
  • Transform the heart — nurture compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and deep connection with all beings.
  • Transform the world — awakened action for peace, justice, education, community, and planetary sustainability.

How much time does it take each day?

The baseline rhythm is ten minutes a day. Within those ten minutes a learner might study a lesson, read a bilingual scripture, sit in meditation, take a quiz, or review flashcards. Inti Dharma holds the thread through a gamified journey, so practice does not break.

The small unit matters more than it looks: someone working a job, raising children, living in a city can keep a steady practice instead of waiting for free time that rarely arrives.
